In a system with a redundant NMS, use the Update Log Files window to copy

the latest NMS log files from a standby NMS computer to the online NMS com-

puter. The log files are displayed or printed in the Reports menu, as described in

Chapter 3

of this manual.

The Log File update should be performed during off-peak hours, especially when trans-

ferring a large number of files, to minimize system performance degradation.

The Update Log Files window

displays two lists:

A list of files that have been

modified – this list shows those

files that are out of date or do not

exist on the online NMS. Today’s

files are excluded from the list.

Contents of the other NMS log

directory – this list shows all files

of the type LOG on the standby

NMS.

Click [Update…] to open the Copy File dialog box.

Click Start to begin copying.

Once the files are being copied, the name of the current file

and the progress bar are updated.

To stop copying, click Cancel. This interrupts the
